God's sense of humor

I normally don't share too many work stories, but this one has to be passed on. This month I created a "spa day" activity in which I take women to the beautyshop and give them an upscale (within my budget) hand massage and manicure. This morning, I brought in one of my favorite ladies, Ms. Richey. As we began, she took off her wedding ring and placed it on the table, and I began her massage not thinking twice about it. A few hours later, Ms. Richey's daughter comes up to me and politely says "Heather... my mom has lost her wedding ring and said she took it off when you were giving her a manicure?" Wide-eyed, I assured the daughter (and myself) that it was probably in the beautyshop and I'd go get it. Thirty minutes later after praying my heart out while tearing through every trash can and laundry basket I came in contact with (not to mention crawling corner to corner bug-eyed), I had to fess up and tell the Richey's that the ring had been misplaced. Very disheartened, she let me know she wasn't upset at me and that these things happen. Can you imagine how responsible and horrible I felt? I was so scared what would happen to me when my boss found out what had happened! With nothing else to do but go back to work- I started getting ready for another activity when one of the nurse aids came up to me and said Ms. Richey had found her ring!! I ran to her room to find her sitting on her chair. She started laughing when I walked in and simply said "would you know it? it was in my bosom the whole time. I put things in my bra when I'm empty-handed."

Ohhh, your bosom. Why didn't I think of that?
